Yellow Conca d’Or Lily
July 12th, 2009 at 4:56am

Here are my entries for both Today’s Flower and Mellow Yellow Monday. As we all know there are different varieties of Lilies around the world. This particular Lily in the photos is called Conca d’Or. The flowers are large and the heart of these blooms reveals a bright and cherry yellow color. And also soft cream edges are dipped in gold. Just simply beautiful!

Very nice! I was at a memorial service on Friday where the priest, a gardener, apologized for the color of his hands before serving communion. Turns out he’d been deadheading lilies like this and the pollen leaves SERIOUS stains! We all laughed.
